Meet our educators

Paul Holt

I have worked with animals for a decade in my professional career.  I also have always had a variety of critters at home.

My love and passion for animals led me to get my bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Animal Science.  I have spent time working at The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, The Animal Humane Society, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, and the Canine Coach.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, and Behaviorist.  I specialize and have had an interest in reptiles my whole life.  I spent over two years caring for the reptiles at Como zoo, as well as various other mammals and birds.

My career in dog training has provided me with a lot of education experience.  I have over 1000 hours teaching classes for kids and adults.  In my time at Como, I also worked as a Public Educator teaching programs about various species.

I have a passion and enthusiasm for animals that is contagious!

Demi Fuller

I have grown up with a love of animals and am looking forward to a career working with them.

My love of animals has led me to studying Animal Science in hopes of becoming an exotic veterinarian. I have over four years of experience working with a variety of exotic animals including large reptiles, porcupines, sloths, kookaburras, macaws and many more.

In addition to taking care of exotics, I have also had the privilege of getting to educate hundreds of people about animals by leading interactions between them and the animals. In these interactions, people are allowed to feed, pet, and even hold some of their favorite animals.

The beginning of my career has provided me with thousands of hours of experience caring for animals and educating others. I have been able to see the impact that getting to learn and interact with an animal can have on people.

I am excited to be able to share my love and passion for animals.

I have an extreme love of animals and have them surrounding my everyday life.

My love of animals led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology. During my studies I took many field courses including traveling to Thailand for forest ecology focusing on Tigers, and Borneo helping with orangutan conservation. Conservation became my passion.

Working as an educator at Como Zoo, I’ve had the privilege of working with many exotic animals that are used in education programs. Como has given me opportunities to expand my knowledge of conservation by sending me on a mission to Malaysian Borneo where I participated in a forest restoration project to help provide future habitat for wildlife.

I have gained a lot of experience in my years at Como working with youth on the Autism spectrum. I realize the importance of providing those with ASD and other disabilities opportunities to learn from animals and nature.

At Creature Features, I hope to share my passion for animals, but also encourage our audiences to become aware of the natural world and how to participate in conservation.
